Cost of Education
Lumbee River Christian College makes every effort to keep educational costs to students as low as possible. Student tuition and fees pay only a portion of the college’s operating expenses each year. Supporting districts, churches, and individuals subsidize the operating budget of the college.
This represents a sizable investment in every student’s education. While the college depends largely on outside financial support, some educational costs must be met by students.
Semester Fees
The LRCC school year is comprised of two semesters. Per semester costs are as follows:

Refund Policy
An adjustment will be made to the student’s account when the student withdraws from the college with the proper approval. The student must complete an Official Withdrawal Form, available at the Registrar’s Office, at the time he/she is leaving the college. Refunds are effective as of the date of the withdrawal form
Room and board charges will be prorated from the date of registration to the date of withdrawal/vacating the dormitory. Tuition refunds are based on the total tuition for the semester and will be refunded accordingly. After the 5th week of classes No adjustments
Payment of Accounts
Financial responsibility is important to a Christian’s Testimony. Each student is responsible to make adequate arrangements for this obligation. Any outstanding balance from previous semesters must be paid in full before a student will be allowed to return to classes. Any exception must be made by the Vice President for Business Affairs.
All school bills must be paid in full before students can receive official credit for work completed during the semester. An official transcript will not be issued until the school bill is paid in full.

Financial Aid
NABC is in the process of applying for Title IV funding at this time; a limited amount of other financial aid is available. Qualifying students may apply for Veterans Administration benefits and various scholarships. Applying for financial aid does not automatically guarantee assistance. A student desiring financial aid should submit an application in the semester prior to the one in which the assistance is needed. Application for financial aid should be made to the Business Affairs Office.

NABC Scholarships
Ethnic Minority Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by the Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education (AAGHE) for the Fall and Spring semester. Applications are available from the Alliance in January. This scholarship is offered to Minority students only and follows the guidelines established by the Alliance (full-time, ethnic minority—Native American, African American, Hispanic, Asian, and a US Citizen). The amount of this scholarship is determined by the alliance and varies from $200 to $ 1000 per student.
Rev. Fred Nelson Gibbs Scholarship
The Fred Gibbs Scholarship is awarded by Living Water Assembly of God Church in Red Springs. The sponsoring church has some specific requirements that the recipient must meet before awarding the Scholarship.
Native American Ministries Scholarship
The Native American Ministries Scholarship was originally established by an anonymous donor and provides tuition, room and board, and textbook purchase assistance to Native Americans of any tribe who are enrolled at LRCC. The fund is also used to train non-Native Americans who have a commitment to serve in Native American Ministries. Scholarship funds are distributed at the discretion of the LRCC Scholarship Committee.
Paul and Katherine Kaminer Scholarship for Juniors and Seniors
The Paul and Katherine Kaminer Scholarship was established to encourage students to complete their degree by providing for their textbooks and a portion of tuition during each semester of their Junior and Senior year.
Rev. Roy and Juanita Clark Scholarship
The Scholarship is awarded by Faith Assembly of God Church in St. Pauls NC. The amount is determined by the church and usually is $400. The application is available in March and is awarded in April following the guidelines on the application.
Cathey Scholarship–$250.00
This is a scholarship for AG students who desire to be a senior pastor of AG churches, or to AG students who plan to serve on the pastoral staff of an AG church upon graduation with the possibility of someday serving as senior pastor.
Harleen Locklear Scholarship
This scholarship is specifically for a member or person from IPHC (Mount Olive Church).
Wright Family Scholarship
The Scholarship is awarded to students who are beginning to attend LRCC either full-time or part-time but are struggling financially. It may also be awarded to existing students at the discretion of the Scholarship committee
Founders Scholarship
The Founders Scholarship is a need-based scholarship for students demonstrating significant financial need making it difficult to complete their studies because of finances. Scholarship funds are distributed at the discretion of the LRCC Scholarship Committee.
Making the Difference Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by the Alliance for Assembly of God Higher Education (AAGHE) to Assemblies of God students based on financial need and varies between $120 and $1000 per student per year. During the summer, the scholarship committee considers the financial need of each student registered at Lumbee River Christian College and determines the student (s) with the greatest need. These names are submitted to the Alliance for consideration and the Alliance committee makes the final decision. As the title implies, the scholarship “makes the difference” whether a student is financially able to attend NABC or not.

Student Record Procedures Policy (Title 38, US Code)
2. Grade reports are furnished to all students at the end of each scheduled school term.
3. Student records for DVA students are maintained for a three-year period after completion of the program.
The following refund policy will be applicable to persons enrolled under provisions of Title 38 US code. (The policy covers situations when the eligible person fails to enter the course, withdraws, or is discontinued at any time prior to completion.) LRCC has and maintains the following policy for the refund of the unused portion of tuition, fees, and other charges:
The charges to the eligible person for tuition, fees and other charges will not exceed the approximate pro rate portion of the tuition, fees, and other charges that the length of the completed portion of the course bears to the total length of the course.
In the event that Lumbee River Christian College, for any reason, is unable to continue operating as an education entity, provision has been made with the Division of Archives and History of the State of North Carolina to assume control of all student’s academic, financial aid, and other critical records. The State Archives also would provide the services customarily rendered by a registrar for these records.
